About the Position:
This position provides a variety of technical supply support to a district or laboratory as a member of a Logistics Delivery Point team. Work closely with property book officers and supply managers
Duties
Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs
Conduct extensive and exhaustive research of catalog databases to locate more cost effective, available substitutes and new products
Conduct physical inventories of a broad range of diverse, specialized items, some of which are difficult to identify
Prepare recurring and special reports and compiles statistics from data
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license so he/she can occasionally drive a vehicle to a service station or repair facility.
- Must obtain and maintain a forklift operator's license to operate a forklift for loading and transporting equipment and supplies.
- Subject to pre-employment and annual medical examination for fitness for duty.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Required to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.

One year of specialized experience which includes which includes experience with supply regulations and policies applicable to specific assignments, property handling, researching data and reports and fact-finding, and/or ensuring supply support for production.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
