You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Material Management Department, Warehouse Operations within the Naval Sea Logistics Center (NSLC) (NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA) in Keyport, WA.

Duties

You will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse On-Site Lead with Operating Materials and Supply Program Management. You will perform warehouse management/administrative functions and conduct daily warehouse inventory management operations. You will establish warehouse management methods, procedures, and business practices to organize and locate assets. You will assure and report on visibility and accountability of assets and compliance with governing policy and execute warehouse operations. You will analyze reports and transactions produced by the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) automated systems to identify trends, problems and other situations that impact effective material support and/or proper funds management. You will coordinates storing and distribution of material with users and supply personnel to assure that sufficient material of correct kind is available to meet predicted need. You will assist in establishing the order in which the receiving, issuing, shipping, or storing functions will be performed.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current State Driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Explosive certification and you will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift certification.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing supply support services associated with warehousing and inventory of supply materials to include receiving, inspecting, storing, or inventory control using an automated inventory system such as Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) Inventory Onsite Support.
