Duties

THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, TEMPORARY POSITION NOT TO EXCEED ONE YEAR. Selectee may be non-competitively extended up to 4 years if/when funding becomes available. The primary purpose of the PROJECT COORDINATION SPECIALIST, GS-0301-11, is to serve as the Project Coordination Specialist responsible for gathering, coordinating and analyzing data, developing plans, reports, providing analysis and recommendations on various one-of-a-kind and non-recurring projects/programs. Applies appropriate management analysis techniques, theories, concepts, and practices to plan, direct, and coordinate command efforts.

PROJECT COORDINATION SPECIALIST, GS-0301-11: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience analyzing, coordinating and/or performs a variety of special projects/program assignments and studies which lead to resolution of management problems and improvement of operations; Experience independently developing a plan of action, and recommending solutions; Experience monitoring and analyzing program/project progress, recommending changes based on findings; Experience developing reports, briefings, and status of assigned projects/programs. Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work required or LL.M., if related.
