Duties

You will serve as a Quality Assurance Department analyst for the development and implementation of administrative programs for reviewing and evaluating procedures. You will analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the Contractor's programs and operations to ensure compliance with procedural requirements of the contract and technical requirements for producing quality assurance data. You will review contracts and specifications to define the Quality Program requirements for the preparation of inspection of Quality Assurance and Engineering Technical Data Products. You will identify areas of weakness and those not in compliance with contract requirements. You will identify methodology for evaluating and analyzing the contractors methods for developing, incorporating, and controlling design data and changes in the digital data environment. You will perform audits of the contractors process controls, management systems, and Quality Management Systems and assess the effectiveness of program operations to meet established goals and objectives. You will make site studies, develop layout and workflow schedules, and determine space and location requirements.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Must obtain within 6 months of appointment and maintain Lead Auditor Certification in accordance with the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion, and Repair Operations Manual. Failure to obtain and maintain this Certification may result in removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing quality assurance or contractor performance data to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective action to improve program operations.
