Qualifications

General Experience: Must have knowledge of social work theories, principles, techniques, and resources. Specialized Experience: Must have 24 months of experience in in the following: Clinical social work assignments Providing assistance and services Helping people work-out plans for improving the situation Interviewing people to establish the nature and extent of their problems Referring people to community resources and other organizations as indicated Assisting people to understand and modify their own patterns of behavior when appropriate

Education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and acceptable to The Surgeon General.

NOTE:
Applicants who are within a year or less of meeting all Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) requirements are encouraged to apply for this position. However, all credentialing and clinical hours must be completed within one year from the date of hire. Additionally, applicants are unlikely to to complete qualifying LCSW clinical hours in this position and should plan to complete clinical hours and credentialing requirements external to the position.
