This position is located in the Digital Media & Visual Design (DKD) organization within Communications (DK), which reports to the Workforce and Strategy Office (D) of the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), Department of Energy (DOE).
The purpose of this position is to serve as a Graphics and Digital Content Specialist for the Digital Media and Visual Design (DKD) organization.
Duties
As a Public Affairs Specialist (Graphics and Digital Content), you will:
Produce, adapt, edit and publish graphics and digital content for internal and external use on the Agency's websites, social media channels and for live and virtual meetings and events.
Prepare visual information and content that illustrates and communicates concepts, written text, and client presentations for delivery to a variety of internal and external audiences.
Provide communications strategy, advice, and support to client organizations and for projects, BPA processes, events, and campaigns; ensuring communications are tailored, engaging, and effective, and that information and messaging is aligned with BPA goals and priorities.
Identify the most effective media type and communication channel to use to reach and engage target audiences.
Write, edit and develops articles, announcements, email communications, social media posts and other content in support of client or agency communication goals and strategies.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Producing, editing and publishing graphics and digital content for internal and external use on websites, social media channels, meetings, and events; (2) developing images that accompany content to effectively communicate stories published internally and externally; (3) designing projects in digital and print formats that reflect an organization's mission, vision, and values; (4) using graphics systems and software design principles to create and maintain web communications.
