About the position: This position will be assigned to the Fort Dix Teen Center.
Duties
Coordinates and/or oversees the coordination of all educational or instructional workshops that complement, supplement, and support the formal education process through the process of planning, organizing, and implementing developmentally appropriate and diverse education and/or instructional programs to support the Youth Program Flight allocation goals. Manages the Instructional Program providing youth activities that complement, supplement, and support the formal education process through the Schools of Sports, Fitness, and Health (e.g., Martial Arts, gymnastics, Dance classes/clinics). Mentoring, Intervention and Education Services, Arts, Recreation, and Leisure activities. Plans and coordinates facility activities/events to include but are not limited to, transportation to special activities, field trips, special events, and activities for youth to include youth with special needs (i.e., learning disabilities, gifted youths, etc.) to include the logistics, and preparation of required equipment/supplies. Establishes lesson fees, class size and contractor-to-CVS fee income spreadsheet to meet program financial goals and DA metrics. Develops/maintains detailed budget reports to support instructional programs for submission to the Youth Director, estimates and justifications for contracts, such as program use, scope, and frequency for the Youth Director. Evaluates effectiveness of on-going programs, services and activities, and makes recommendations to Youth Program Director on policy and procedural changes to effect continual improvements by staying current with youth and recreation industry trends to ensure a wide variety of programs are available for youth. Participates in forecasting long-range funding requirements and prepares appropriate supporting justification and documentation. Accomplishes after-action reports to ensure improvements are going for future events and maintains program archives for future reference and planning. Works with installation Contracting Activity to develop contracts and identify contract instructors to meet demand for services. Develops Instructional Program marketing materials and provides input to the Child and Youth marketing plan and command information materials to ensure the widest dissemination within the communities to promote access to the program/services and garner public support. Prepare reports, information papers, fact sheets, and studies and required. Coordinates the printing of promotional and other published materials with squadron Marketing and Publicity office. Coordinates and prepares with contractors an end of the year class presentation for parents. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in related degree program is desirable. Must have a substantial knowledge of Child and Youth program with a minimum of one year experience in fund-raising field, sales/marketing with youth programs and/or recreation activities. Strong leadership abilities, possessing maturity, good judgement, and like working with youth.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Youth Program staff, chain of command, volunteers, community groups, and other related agencies. Working knowledge of computers and common software (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and be able to prepare presentations as well as performing administrative functions to include preparation, proof-reading, and editing of correspondence.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
