This position is located at Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Support Equipment Product Line (SEPL), Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Duties
This position is responsible for providing expertise, advice, and recommendations regarding the processes used to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate both traditional and innovative performance improvement systems and interventions to include alternative delivery methods (modeling and simulation, computer-based training, videos, job aids, etc.) and to plan and carry out training curricula.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To Qualify for the GS-12 Grade Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 in the Federal service.
Examples of qualifying experience include:
Producing complete training products (courses, aids, methods, training plans, etc.).
Modifying curriculum methods or approaches to remain relevant and accurate.
Analyzing accumulated data and related information and making recommendations to enhance training curriculum.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
