The primary purpose of the position is to serve as a program/administrative assistant to the Administrative Medicine Care Line (Outpatient Medicine), under the supervision of the Administrative Officer.
Duties
Major Duties:
Perform work involving the collection, compilation and/or tracking of data and statistical information in support of the Administrative Medicine Care Line (Occupational Medicine).
Maintain share folder or designated modality tracking system of programs specific data to track items such as project progress reports, compliance strategies, etc.
Assist in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies.
Perform work related to the acquisition and/or development of program information and resource materials/personnel to support the policy development and/or technical activities.
Interpret and explain facility administrative policies to leadership, providers, clinicians, and clerical staff.
Work with members of the health care team, Point of Care Contacts, Patient Advocates, and Veterans and their families to help ensure that services are easily obtained, and short-term problems are resolved quickly.
Type letters, reports, memorandums, rosters, mailing lists and other general office material.
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 0800-1630

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/31/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: providing all administrative functions and administrative support in data collection, data aggregation, analysis, and reporting of data, providing program and technical support by performing, tracking, and reporting inconsistencies and ensuring data entry is complete and accurate, maintaining time cards and timekeeping for employees and completing purchases and training or travel orders for employees.

Physical Requirements: The work is often sedentary. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. Walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items such as papers, charts, reports, event supplies, and files may be necessary.
