About the Position: This position is located with U.S. Army Cadet Command, 6th Brigade, JROTC at Hunter Army Airfield Base, Savannah GA.
Duties
Calculate budget requirements for training.
Provide instructor support, training and evaluation.
Execute the implementation of new programs.
Review and approve training schedules for compliance with regulations.
Coordinate training camp operations and activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 50 - 70% of the time.
- May be required to serve a one year probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves planning, direction, and administration of a training program. Conduct inspections of training programs to ensure that it meets government standards for training and education. Identifying Possible solutions to improve or correct training programs. Advise about policies and procedures of education and training programs and assist in the implementation. Create various reports such as enrollment or graduation rates and analyze the data to answer questions or assist with decisions. Performs administrative functions for the coordination of classes, drills or camps for the program.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree (MUST provide Transcripts).
Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11. (When crediting education that requires specific course work, prorate the number of hours of related courses required as a proportion of the total education to be used.) (MUST provide Transcripts)
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
