About the position: This position will be assigned to the LAKE TEXOMA ANNEX.
Duties
Diagnoses malfunctions of outboard motors to determine the source of trouble and to determine the extent of repairs required ,including electrical systems, geared units, and components. Using specialized testing equipment, tears down, adjusts, repairs ,reassembles, and runs operational checks on engines to determine necessary repairs. .Determines supplies and parts needed for repair of motors. May maintain maintenance records on all equipment repaired, annotating man hours, materials, and date of repair. Based on these records, determines bench stock required and maintenance schedules.
Instructs patrons in all phases of safety regulations concerning use of boats and motors. May collect fees for rental of equipment and prepare daily cash reports and deposit funds. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of outboard marine engines. This experience must have provided a thorough knowledge of and the ability to test and troubleshoot, components and systems to locate marine equipment defects; interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, diagnostic codes, and safety manuals; and to operate electronic test equipment. Must be physically able to frequently lift, handle, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and with assistance, objects up to and over 50 pounds. Must be able to frequently, stand, bend, stoop, crawl, and work in tight spaces for long periods of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation.
