You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Theater USW C5I Systems Division of the Unmanned and Theater Undersea Warfare Systems Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA, located in Keyport WA.

Duties

You will provide logistics technical support in all areas of the Navy Supply Chain involving major Theater USW systems with a focus on the procurement process. You will perform all material management functions necessary for identification, requirements development, acquisition and delivery of material associated with Navy Theater USW Systems. You will assess requirements for and prepare ILS plans and procedures associated with all material management functions associated with assigned Theater USW Systems. You will participate in and contribute to project teams formed for the execution of customer tasking. You will act as a mentor for newly hired individuals in the material management and procurement field and provide guidance for project team members. You will prepare and deliver briefings in all areas of material management to include: information training briefings, customer status briefings, internal program reviews, external program reviews, and team briefings.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Logistics, Level I- Foundational. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing Integrated Product Support functions to identify and resolve logistics management issues impacting Combat System Maintainability and Supportability.
