You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the DIR MAINTENANCE TRAINING GROUP, FORCE NUCLEAR PROPULSION (N9) of COMNAVAIRLANT.
Duties
You will apply knowledge of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI).
You will prepare all internal and external correspondence for the code and ensure all
correspondence is error free and compliant with the Navy Correspondence Manual.
You will assign work, monitor performance and assist in evaluation and management of the junior Sailors.
You will write Naval messages in both classified and unclassified networks and ensures they are in
compliance with common message processor software.
You will maintain a technical publication library of over 500 items that includes Reactor Plant Manuals and
Steam Plant Manuals for A2W and A4W and various nuclear component technical manuals.
You will ensure that all personnel reporting are on-boarded in the Defense Information Security System (DISS).
You will provides staff oversight for the receipt, marking, custody, accountability, reproduction, transmittal,
inventory, storage and destruction of classified material (up to and including SECRET).
You will ensure compliance with Safeguarding of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI) following classification guidelines for U-NNPI (NOFORN) and CONFIDENTIAL RESTRICTED DATA.
You will apply knowledge of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information. (NNPI)
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
This position requires extensive knowledge of Naval Propulsion Information (NNPI).
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying knowledge of Naval Propulsion Information (NNPI).
Experience preparing budget projections for travel quarterly and updating the travel budget continuously as travel vouchers are completed.
Experience maintaining a technical publication library.
Experience utilizing computer office software and other programs such as Microsoft Office, Common Message Processor (CMP), Defense Information Security System (DISS) Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS), and NAVFIT programs.
Experience performing duties in support of an office such as the distribution, control, and assigning of action to incoming requests, referring phone calls and visitors, and providing authorized information.
Experience applying knowledge of Navy security regulations and operational security requirements.
