You will serve as a in the PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE of JOINT EXPED BASE LITTLE CREEK FT STORY.
Duties
You will organize media coverage of special events.
You will develop formal and informal presentations to inform, motivate, or educate target audiences.
You will draft responses, speeches, or other written materials for internal and external audiences.
Requirements

- Required to be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to escort media.
- Some night and weekend work and travel as required.
- Requirement for mobility in visiting area commands for the purpose of meetings, interviews, VIP escort, photo sessions, media escort, and tours and special events.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing a public information program to include executing community events;2) Writing and editing a variety of correspondence, articles, news releases, speeches and presentations to convey information about complex programs, activities and functions;3) Maintaining a large organization's social media sites to communicate information to internal and external groups; and4) Fostering working relationships with media and community groups.
