You will serve as a General Supply Specialist acting as the NAF El Centro Site Director in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
You will participate in working groups, and support all projects requiring FLCSD Site El Centro's input.
You will be responsible for all supply support at NAF El Centro and tenant commands to include household goods, postal, and material management.
You will provide technical support and guidance and conduct special studies, as needed.
You will interpret DoD and NAVSUP policies and command instructions to ensure compliance and research methods of operation to accomplish goals.
You will be responsible for determining resource needs, allocation of resources and solving internal supply operating problems.
You will maintain effective day-to-day relationships with operating personnel, both civilian and military.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of General Supply Specialist specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a practical knowledge of a wide range of supply and logistics policies, regulations and procedures in order to provide logistics products and services, technical support and guidance, and conduct studies in support of customers and installations such as the following: warehousing; household goods moves/joint personal property offices; postal operations; hazardous materials minimization operations; and regional transportation. I have experience applying a knowledge of conventional fact-finding and skill to identify, analyze and evaluate facts relative to unsatisfactory supply and logistics management conditions and supply system discrepancies in order to document findings in support of recommending a resolution. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Communicates with internal and external stakeholders such as various customers and leadership to represent the site's mission and interests; 2) Performs Business Management routine and special administrative duties such as inputs, briefings, data calls, staffing matrix, resource allocation recommendations and/or determinations, and other tasks; 3) Participates in working groups to develop recommendations based on findings of business case analysis; 4) Performs workload studies, time studies, standard operating procedures (SOP) development and various business-case analyses; and 5) Maintains effective day-to-day relationships with operating personnel, both civilian and military.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
