The position is located at the Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California with oversight by the Behavioral Health Department of the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. The primary purpose will be to provide receptionist duties, record keeping and miscellaneous clerical support duties.
Duties

Coordinates clinic activities and communication relevant to patient care.
Functions as the timekeeper for the clinic. May also be an alternate timekeeper for other units.
Receives visitors and telephone calls to the clinic and directs calls to the appropriate party.
Delivers patient consults, laboratory specimens, etc., to a variety of hospital departments.
Uses a variety of automation tools such as personal computers, printers, scanners, and associated software.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-0679-05:
Specialized Experience: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-04) in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks. Examples of specialized experience include: Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments using computerized records; Maintaining patient confidentiality; Preparing for clinic visits for each business day; Preparing correspondence, answering telephones, and referring calls to appropriate offices.
OR
Education: Successfully complete 4-years of education above high school.
OR
Combination: A combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for the GS-05 grade level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-06:
Specialized Experience: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-04) in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks. Examples of specialized experience include: Scheduling appointments and capturing patient demographics in multiple systems; Performing a variety of receptionist, clerical, and record-keeping duties; Receiving and greeting visitors and telephone callers; Determining the nature of the call or visit and providing detailed information to individuals; Referring patients with perceived emergencies to proper clinic.
Typing Proficiency Requirement: Applicants must be able to type 40 words per minute on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
