Duties
You will serve as Senior Project Leader for in-house survey and mapping projects, in support of the Real Estate Division and the in-house design group.
You will provide training and monitors performance of the Cadastral staff.
You will provides input into the scope of work and prepares government cost estimate for surveying and mapping projects.
You will provides input to training plans and provides training and mentoring to technical staff.
You will develops records management protocols to facilitate information sharing, coordination and distribution for asset management, enhanced use leasing and PPV within Real Estate and other business lines.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to maintain a current license as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) / Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or equivalent, in a state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applies concepts, principles and techniques of land surveying, including underlying mathematics and physical science; 2) Applies laws, regulations and standards applicable to surveying, mapping, photogrammetry, geodetic surveying, geodesy, route surveying, remote sensing, cartography, geographic information systems, computer-aided mapping, aerial photo interpretation, and survey analysis adjustments; 3) Assists with negotiating the survey cost for projects; 4) Interprets plans and specifications for projects.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Successfully completed a degree in land surveying or civil engineering with a surveying option/emphasis. The civil engineering major must have included at least 6 semester hours of surveying, 3 semester hours of land law, and 21 additional semester hours in any combination of the following: surveying, photogrammetry, geodetic surveying, geodesy, route surveying, remote sensing, cartography, survey astronomy, land information systems, computer-aided mapping, aerial photo interpretation, and survey analysis and adjustments.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
OR
Possess a current registration as a land surveyor in a State, territory, or the District of Columbia obtained by written examination. Registration was obtained under conditions outlined in the National Council of Engineering Examiners (NCEE) Unified Model Law for Registration of Surveyors. Note: Applicants wishing to be considered under this provision must show evidence of registration based on successful completion of the written examinations.
