Serves as a Civilian Payroll Technician (CPT) in the Finance Service for the John J. Pershing Medical Center (Poplar Bluff, MO). This position organizationally reports to the Assistant Finance Officer.
Duties

Receives and examines complex payroll authorization documents.
Reviews time and attendance actions and utilizes the Fiscal and HR databases.
Audits pay and leave accounts to identify and correct errors.
Audits automated listings for accuracy of changes made to permanent records and ensures pay files are updated and balance.
Reviews time and attendance reports for a diversified assigned time and leave units.
Provides customer service in person or by telephone, and completes correspondence related to employee pay.
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Fiscal and HR databases.
Work Schedule: Full-Time; Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Qualifications
One (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes: reviewing time and attendance actions; inputting leave and pay adjustment information; ensuring that time and attendance is correct and pay is correct; reviewing all disbursement and collection vouchers; providing customer service in person or by telephone; resolving problems; and providing timekeeper training.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates.
