About the Position: Serves as Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, managing, and reviewing all actions as they pertain to Property Accountability, Supply Management, Industrial Equipment Accountability, Life Cycle Management, and other support requirements into an overall support effort.
Duties
Implements command and control of supply management executed at AMC Major Subordinate Commands in accordance with Army and DOD policies, procedures, and doctrines.
Develops command and control of property accountability executed in accordance with Army and DOD policies, procedures, and doctrines.
Ensures the command and control of Industrial Equipment Accountability and Life Cycle Management executed at AMC Major Subordinate Commands.
Responsible for all Logistics Management functions which supports and significantly affects the mission-essential operations of the organization.
Ensures financial responsibility at the Army Command Level for property, plant and equipment (PP and E) for mission/base operations at depots, ammunition plants, industrial facilities and laboratories.
Plans, directs, controls, and coordinates the development, integration, promulgation, and implementation of new and developing policies and procedural guidelines for existing and emerging command.
Plans, directs, controls, and coordinates for the control for property accountability, supply management, and equipment life cycle management systems.
Briefs senior leadership regarding Command Supply Discipline Programs (CSDP) execution and interpretation of CSDP results from AMC Major Subordinate Commands consolidated at the Army Command Level.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 15% of the time.
- Position requires a Secret security clearance or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This is an Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics-Advanced Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) advising and managing integrated data for strategic planning processes and documentation purposes; 2) Participating in studies and strategic analyses to meet goals and objectives for mission requirements: 3) Collaborating in the integration and prioritization of strategic planning and life cycle management resources using an automated system to allocate resources. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower band/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
