You will serve as a Human Performance Supervisor in the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will directly manage the fitness and gymnasium facility and daily operations.
You will be responsible for the development. direction, management, maintenance, planning and administration of diverse physical fitness programs.
You will develop and implement programs, education, and awareness activities that promote healthy lifestyles
You will perform prevention program planning, coordination, and implementation.
You will provide proper education and training to marines on functional fitness, injury prevention, nutrition, proper execution of prescribed exercises and other related subjects for combat fitness.
You will advise leadership on prevention methods, assessments, and training.
You will establish health prevention activities (i.e. determining goals, objectives, measures of performance, and effectiveness, assessments, and milestones).

- The incumbent shall possess and maintain the following certifications from American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Health and Fitness Specialist or higher.
- The incumbent shall possess and maintain the following certifications National Strength and conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning specialist and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Certification.
- The incumbent shall possess and maintain Level 1 Level Certification from the United States Weightlifting Association, and group exercise certification.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Developing and implementing programs, education, and awareness activities that promote healthy lifestyles; 2) Planning and administrating of a diverse physical fitness program including fitness class instruction; 3) Advising leadership on prevention methods, assessments, and training; and 4) Establishing health prevention activities (i.e. determining goals, objectives, measures of performance, and effectiveness, assessments, and milestones)

Education
Basic Education Requirements:
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- general recreation, or one of the appropriate fields of recreation such as outdoor recreation; recreation and parks leadership; wild land recreation management; natural resources recreation; youth recreation; public, urban, or community recreation; special populations recreation (e.g., senior citizens, institutional, etc.); or physical education.
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
