The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE), Construction Division, Construction Branch. The selectee serves as a journey level Insulator responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of insulating materials on piping, duct and equipment systems throughout the Architect of the Capitol campus. Duties involve lead and asbestos removal and abatement.
The position requires confined space, lead and asbestos abatement certifications.
Duties
Asbestos Abatement Certification and Confined Space Certification is required (Must complete training as prescribed by 29 Code of Federal Regulations 1910 within first six months after being assigned to the position and attend annual refresher courses).
