The Care in The Community (CITC) Administrative Officer is a key staff member of the CITC team and is responsible for the administrative management of CITC service. The incumbent functions as the administrative officer to the Chief CITC.
Duties
Communicate with internal and external customers, management, and community officials.
Monitors office supplies for staff.
Interpret administrative policies, developing local polices, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice on related issues.
Identify problems and apply established guidelines to correct the problems.
Analyze and interpret incoming internal requests from agency personnel.
Serves as a point of contact in establishment of provider agreements with community providers.
Screen visitors and telephone calls based on the nature of the call and forward to appropriate personnel.
Maintains calendars and prioritize appointments, conferences, etc.
Monitors and reports time and attendance.
Initiates personnel actions, reviews position descriptions, performance standards, and policy.
Reviews, analyzes and interprets incoming requests and makes recommendations or takes appropriate action.
Work Schedule: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/20/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Specialized experience includes: Working with administrative areas including: human resources, purchasing, supply and property management, records management, financial management and budget. Utilizing management analysis principles and concepts and preparing comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations. Analyzing the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative programs. Identifying problem and potential problem areas based on daily observance or studies and develop recommendations for improvement. Developing and recommending ways to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and timeliness of work operations. Working with a wide variety of administrative regulations, policies and procedures.

Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have Successfully completed a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work and be directly related to the duties of this position). (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED) .

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. It occasionally requires carrying of light objects such as files, books and papers; some walking, standing and bending. No special physical qualifications are required.
