About the position: This position will be assigned to the Gold Country Inn, Beale AFB, CA.
This position is regular full time, guaranteed 35 hours per week and receives benefits.
Duties
Performs as a Senior Guest Services Representative in support of the front desk/office operations for the Gold Country Inn. Responsible for relaying work instructions from supervisor, provides on the job training for new employees, and observes work in progress. Shares learned best practices of front desk operations. Assists in correcting clerical and system errors. Ensures adherence of established quality and safety standards. Maintains log of incidents and reports. Communicates incidents to supervisor.
Ensures customer service is top priority and resolves complaints or elevates them to a higher level for resolution. Receives and confirms room reservations by letter, telephone, email, or personal contact. Registers and assigns rooms to guests, makes and issues room keys, and may escort guests to rooms as needed. Ensures authorized usage of government quarters. Accepts payment, makes change, and presents departing guests' checkout statements. Prepares and safeguards cash receipts, prepares daily cashier's report, daily activity report, and may prepare consolidated daily activity report. Updates automated data base on occupancy and checkouts and maintains checkout lists.
Maintains and sells sundry items to patrons. Ensures housekeeping status of rooms is updated. Responsible for lost and found program. Keeps front desk neat and orderly. Processes Night Audit procedures and closes credit card machine nightly.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a drug test with favorable results.
- This position requires the incumbent to meet state and legal age requirement for sale of alcoholic beverages.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to read, write and speak English, and communicate tactfully with guests and coworkers. Must have experience utilizing automated systems and computer software, such as hotel property management software or equivalent. Must have cash handling experience. Previous experience leading the work of others is highly desirable.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
