As a Supervisory Realty Specialist responsible for the supervision of lease acquisition, site acquisition, building purchase, space planning, scheduling, negotiations, build-out and procurement management of real estate projects for a number of major Government agencies.
This position is located in General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service of the National Capital Region.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Responsible for the supervision of lease acquisition, site acquisition, building purchase, space planning, scheduling, negotiations, build-out and procurement management of real estate projects for a number of major Government agencies throughout the National Capital Region.
Provide real estate analysis, issue resolution and approval of project feasibility and engineering studies to ensure real estate requirements are fully addressed and compatible with project plans.
Provides guidance, direction, and assistance in shaping, implementing, and communicating the Real Estate mission strategy within the organization, and to external organizations being supported by GSA.
Participates in the negotiations for acquisition, management, and disposal of real estate involving complex agreements, and dealings with high officials of corporations and government. Exercises delegated authority in negotiating and executing options, leases, sales and other contractual agreements and documents.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $132,368 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in: (a) planning the scope and direction of lease acquisition programs and (b) performing the full range of real estate functions including lease acquisition, lease policy development, lease process improvement, lease project management, and lease systems implementation.

Applicants who possess such KSA's may be ranked above those who do not, but no one may be rated ineligible solely for failure to possess such KSA’s. The Quality Ranking Factor for this position is the ability to acquire and maintain a warrant, which includes formal training, experience (on the job training) and a minimum of 24 semester hours (or equivalent) of business college coursework or a bachelor’s degree.
