You will serve as a PLUMBING WORKER in the FACILITIES DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.

Duties
You will locate and make repairs that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, replacing, packing and sealing defective parts of utility, supply and disposal systems.
You will check operation, equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
You will use, maintain, and account for all types of hand and/or power tools, as required, to accomplish assigned duties.
You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Backflow Prevention Assembly General Tester certification.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Distribution System Operator certification.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Anera worker - Abesetos certification.
- You must be respirator qualified.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: removes, cleans, replaces, packs, and seals defective parts of existing utility, supply, and disposal systems; repairs or replaces broken pipe, leaky drains, faucets; measures, cuts, bends, and threads pipe and tile.
