You will serve as a SECRETARY (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the NAVY REGION RESERVE COMPONENT COMMAND of NAVREGSW RESERVE COMPONENT COMMAND.
Duties
You will review and direct incoming classified and unclassified correspondence to responsible Front Office Staff.
You will review outgoing correspondence to ensure compliance with administrative guidelines and policy set forth by the Commander.
You will arrange meetings and conferences and handles protocol for the same.
You will provide reference and background materials to the Commander and Chief Staff Officer.
You will process administrative matters coming into the Commander and Deputy and their subordinated.
You will type a variety of material from rough draft directly to final form.
Prepares and maintains the appointment calendars and official social calendars for the Commander and the Chief Staff Officer.
Requirements
- Skills of a qualified typist is required.
- Overtime may be required.
- Position is designated as a Noncritical/Sensitive and IT level II position IAW Chapter 5 of SECNAV M-5510.10.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
TYPING REQUIREMENT: You must be able to type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience with protocol etiquette to properly deal with a variety of high level senior military of civilian employees, Experience reviewing publications and directives for correct grammar and spelling punctuation, experience advising other secretaries in subordinate offices of new procedures and regulations, and Experience maintain high ranking officials calendars, Experience with travel regulations.
