About the Position: Serves as a Financial Technician at Robins, AFB.

Duties
Establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external auditing agencies.
Perform audits for all funds processed through the Uniform Business Office
Established collection strategies for achieving goals and trends results to determine significance.
Develop and implements procedures to ensure maximum reimbursement on all claims.
Verify and reconciles deposit vouchers processed through DoD and Air Force accounting
systems.
Develop all training needs for medical staff members as it relates to Business Operations.
Research and analyzes monthly report data to the organization command team.
Implement changes in billing and collection procedures in line with new policies and procedures.
Advise and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
- This is a DOD Financial Management position. The incumbent must complete training and meet position requirements for certification at Level 1 within 2 years of appointment.
- This position may require the incumbent to work overtime at various times during the year, sometimes on short notice, based on organizational requirements.
- This position may require the incumbent to occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining accounting systems; verifying financial accounts for compliance with policies/regulations; and utilizing financial data to prepare/analyze reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
OR
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as accounting or financial management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
