You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/CUSTSPT) in the NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND HEADQUARTERS/NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will contribute substantively to long-range planning for the NMCI program. You will keep customer representatives fully informed of current and projected NMCI operational capabilities, and advises them on how those may be applied to address program/function-unique IT/IM requirements. You will lead the ACTR staff in providing customers (usually via NMCI primary POCs) with accurate and complete information to ensure they derive full value from allocated NMCI resources. You will provide leadership and oversight for NMCI POCs' initiation of and endorses all new seat orders, service requirements and proposed moves.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards and practices, which enable the incumbent to interpret and apply policies, procedures and strategies governing the planning and delivery of NMCI assets and services; 2) Knowledge of IT service management office functions in order to develop policy and processes horizontally and vertically across teams; 3) Use of NMCI management support tools under the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) umbrella, including the NMCI Enterprise Tool (NET), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), PEO-EIS portal, and the RAP Tool, ; 4) Communicating with and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of reporting seniors, customers and IT team members; and 5) Demonstrated success in applying administrative management and organizational skills and projects, and prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
