About the Position: The position is located within the Executive Office, New England District (NAE), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Headquarters in Concord, MA.
Duties
Manage the accountability of property book items (laptops, cell phones, etc.) for all component offices located within the New England District headquarters.
Assists the Property Book Officer with overall property accountability.
Assists with identifying employee training needs and developing training initiatives on an annual basis.
Perform record maintenance initiatives.
Serves as the primary point of contact for utilizing a Government Purchase Card to obtain property, equipment, and services required for mission support activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A valid state-issued driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of appointment to position and maintained thereafter.
- May be required to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25-30 lbs on an occasional basis.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. GS-09:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes meeting TWO of the following: 1) managing equipment inventory; 2) drafting documents in accordance with regulations; and/or 3) preparing reports and/or correspondence. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Public Administration, etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
GS-11:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes meeting THREE of the following: 1) assisting with training development; 2) maintaining electronic record systems; 3) coordinating organizational facility usage and/or 4) providing guidance on property accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as public administration, business administration, etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
