You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGER at the U.S.NAVAL ACADEMY.
Duties
You will advise financial administration employees on program goals and objectives
You will analyze financial data to advise managers or senior leaders on costs, fiscal allocation, labor funds management, management analysis, or
budget preparation
You will conduct quality control reviews of financial program execution
You will serve as the Deputy Comptroller within the Deputy for Finance cost center at USNA
You will assess financial statements in response to DoN and internal audits.
You will manage multiple appropriations of funds.
Requirements
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Oversees the Government credit card program to include individual travel cards, unit travel cards, and purchase cards; 2) Prepares accounting reports for local management; 3) Utilizes accounting and financial management policies and procedures; 4) Manages a budget in excess of 150 million dollars from multiple appropriations sources; 5) experience assessing financial statements in response to Department of Navy & internal audits(NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.)
