This position is located in Great Plains Area Youth Regional Treatment Center (GPAYRTC) located at 12451 Highway 1806 Mobridge, SD. The GPAYRTC is an 18 bed adolescent drug and alcohol treatment facility which provides inpatient substance abuse treatment services.
Duties
Provides and documents therapeutic/clinical services consistent with all applicable IHS, GPAYRTC and other applicable accrediting body policies and procedures. Such services include but are not limited to, assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy for patients and their families, educational presentations, therapeutic interventions.
Attends and participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings, provides updates to staff about resident behavior, and helps staff both track and ensure residents appropriate progress in treatment.
Provide education/training for staff as well as various entities from the surrounding communities, i.e., schools, churches, public interest organizations, etc.
Provides administrative and technical supervision to subordinates as required.
Qualifications

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below-
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
GS-12: 1 year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples Include: Coordinates and monitors treatment services such as assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, educational presentations, therapeutic interventions, medication administration and follow ups.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR, GS-12: I possess an active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Addiction Counselor or Licensure equivalency as identified through the International Certification and Reciprocity consortium (IC&RC) in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. . Time In Grade (Merit Promotion Candidates Only)
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
