About the position: This position will be assigned to the LAKE TEXOMA ANNEX.
Duties
Serves as Recreational Program Director by overseeing the Annex's daily recreational programs, activities and marketing. Develops a comprehensive outdoor recreation program for active duty military personnel, retired military, civilians and their families. Activities may be recurring or special programs developed for particular groups. Evaluates program effectiveness from the standpoint of participant response, resources and program objectives. Adapts programs to meet participant needs. Recommends the purpose of equipment to support the various programs. Insures proper controls are established to protect income, property, fixed assets, etc. Keeps abreast of familiarity industry changes and new trends. Assists in other aspects of the annex operation such as training new employees, inspecting facilities for safety, fire and hazardous materials. Operates a personal computer for a variety of purposes including marketing plans, advertisement, flyers, reports, etc. Orders supplies and materials for programs. Plans special functions, books entertainment, serves as bartender making a full line of mixed drinks, menu planning, cost analysis, food preparation. Decorates facility inside and out for holidays and special functions. Greets visitors and provides information regarding the annex and its programs. Attempts to resolve problems in a tactful and diplomatic manner. Refers those that cannot be resolved to the supervisor. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the incumbent to satisfactory completion of Food Handler's Training.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience working in a recreational program that provided a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities and programs. Have knowledge on theme decorating booking entertainment and how to keep abreast of industry changes and new trends. Subject to satisfactory completion of National Agency Check. Action subject to satisfactory completion of Food Handler Training.
