DCSA's National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) is seeking an Enterprise Architect. As such, you will perform analysis and assessment of modern, cloud-based NBIS programs and develop mission & program policies. Additionally, you will provide subject matter knowledge related to designing, developing and maintaining secure cloud-based enterprise architectures, leveraging DCSA's Artificial Intelligence Platform as a Service (AI PaaS).

- Applicant must possess one of the baseline certifications required for IASAE Level II within six months of selection.

You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-11) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes: IT network systems design principles, methodologies, and approaches to develop, test, install, operate, manage, and maintain network services that support functional requirements; network architecture, topology, and protocols to plan, design, develop, and integrate network systems consistent with existing or planned network infrastructures; integration and optimization of system components, infrastructure requirements, and test and evaluation methods to install and operate large and complex network programs; and experience with a wide variety of established commercial network design programs and how they interrelate and function within various environments.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Network Operation Technical Subject Matter Expert(s) Implement, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and/or maintain network systems and associated activities.
2. Information Technology Life Cycle Management Technical Subject Matter Expert(s) Plan, develop and/or manage processes across the information systems/services life cycle to ensure Information Technology capabilities meet current and future organization and enterprise missions.
3. Cybersecurity Technical Subject Matter Expert(s) Protect and defend information and information systems in order to ensure Information Technology capabilities meet current and future organization and enterprise missions.
4. Problem Solving General Subject Matter Expert(s) Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/ effective recommendations, based on potential implication of findings or conclusions. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems, and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
