This position is located in the Branch of Behavioral Health Services, Division of Clinical Services, at the Little Shell Service Unit in Great Falls, MT. The primary purpose of this position is to provide clerical support services to the Behavioral Health Professional staff. Incumbent reports directly to the Supervisory Clinical Psychologist.
This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.
Duties
Serves at the receptionist for the Behavioral Health services program.
Receives telephone calls, screens request for services, and directs to the appropriate provider/resource for services.
Maintains and updates scheduling patient appointments for staff department.
Interviews patients and enters all current demographic information.
Retrieves and distributes mail, prepares requisitions for office supplies/equipment, arrange travel for staff, maintain time, and attendance.

Qualifications

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-5: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level AND/OR four (4) years above high school.
GS-6: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Examples of Specialized Experience.
GS-5: Retrieves, distributes mail, maintains and updates policy manual, prepares purchase requisitions for supplies, equipment and services, makes necessary arrangements for travel, and maintains the time and attendance.
GS-6: Interviews and screens patients to update registration information, scheduling patient appointments, logs the release of information through Health Systems and maintains patient files, inventory files, and provides support services to provider during each patient visit.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
