The incumbent is assigned to the Grounds Services Unit, Maintenance and Operations Section, Facilities Management, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System. Responsible for the supervision of Tractor Operators, the grounds maintenance and one spring fed lake. The incumbent is also known as the Gardener (Tractor Operator) Supervisor.

Physical Requirements: The duties of this position require physical exertion involving lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects of varying weights, sizes and shapes. Physical effort is exerted in walking, running, climbing, crawling, and bending. Incumbent is required to work on steep banks, slick walks and roads. In performing outside work, he/she is frequently exposed to severe jolting from the equipment. Working Conditions: Weather conditions to which exposed when working outdoors - Incumbent is exposed to all weather conditions when working outside. Temperatures to which exposed in the work area - Incumbent is exposed to varying climatic conditions from an office to excessive heat in equipment rooms. Dust, grease, and soiling of clothing and skin surfaces - Incumbent is exposed to various hazardous materials in the course of performing work assignments. He/She is provided protective clothing, equipment and safety devices for his/her personal protection.
