Duties
Serves as Occupational Therapist at a Medical Referral Center providing inpatient and outpatient services to Federal prisoners referred by physicians, mid-level practitioners or dentists. Functions autonomously in the specialty area, but will also be a member of a rehabilitation team providing the latest evidence-based care to a diverse patient population in this unique setting. Provides occupational therapy services to patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical, functional and/or health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. Establishes a plan of care and manage the needs of the patient based on examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, goals, and outcomes of planned interventions of identified impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. Collaborates with multiple medical, mental health, and correctional staff to provide comprehensive care to federal inmates.

Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements. Basic Requirements: Degree: A graduate or higher level degree that included:
An occupational therapy curriculum approved by The American Occupational Therapy Association (ACOTE) or a professional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained;
AND
Completion of the clinical requirements prescribed by the school.
