About the Position: This position is located at Dover AFB located in Dover, Delaware. This position is a part of the Defense Health Agency.

Duties

Prepare a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring correspondence, reports, and other documents. Review and finalize correspondence/documents prepared by others in handwritten or electronic drafts. Receive telephone calls, greets visitors, and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits. Maintain supervisors calendars, coordinates meeting arrangements, and schedules meetings and/or conferences. Perform other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, and scheduling meetings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsOral CommunicationOrganizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-5 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
