About the Position: Serve as Supervisory Video Production Specialist for television & live events, exercising full direction and control over work operations involving live theatrical, virtual, and hybrid outreach events.
Duties
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Advise customers in the pre-production (initial planning and script consultation) and treatment phases to develop overall technical concept of project.
Translate technical and interview information into appropriate production formats.
Advise management in approving the allocation and distribution of funds in the organization's budget in relation to current working projects.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to other organizations in the implementation of special television equipment applications and techniques.
Responsible for on-site contractor coordination and vendor selection for critical products and services.

Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call duty hours. Work may take place in the early mornings, evenings and/or weekends as dictated by event and/or rehearsal schedules.
- Require the ability to stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs.

- A 1-year supervisory probation period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and planning video coverage of live events; directing the actions of production teams; coordinating support plans, resources, and operations for live special events. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
