You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT, PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, DIRECTORATE OPERATIONS of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD.
Duties
You will analyze, evaluate and revise command inventory in order to plan for command needs including technical supplies ranging from medical support materials through surgical support instruments and equipment.
You will maintain records and controls over materials in stock, due in, or planned for the distribution system on a quantitative and monetary basis.
You will make supply system decisions and recommendations to establish and revise reorder frequencies and establish stock levels to achieve effective supply support within the distribution system.
You will monitor computer program block to determine efficiency in meeting established information requirements and recommend changes in data flow, report formats and calculations for supply management information needs.
You will monitor, resolve problems and coordinate solutions for a major commodity area in a depot operation providing worldwide support.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience ordering and preparing requisitions using Military Standard Requisitioning and Issuance Procedures (MILSTRIP)/Military Standard Transaction Reporting and Accounting Procedures (MILSTRAP).
- Experience creating, updating orders and executing records utilizing the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support system (DMLSS) in order to meet command needs.
- Experience interpreting supply regulations, policies, procedure, supply policies and methodologies in the utilization of the government purchase card to perform a variety of procurement procedures.
- Experience resolving supply operations issues and problems of a procedural nature, tracking material flow from original and subsequent acquisitions, through shipment and storage, to final distribution and shipment.
- Experience analyzing planned or scheduled material requirements and forecast to determine items categories, quantities and funds required.

Education
If applying to qualify for the Inventory Management Specialist, GS-2010 position at the GS-09 level based on education:
You must have successfully completed a Master's or equivalent Graduate degree,
OR
have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Master's Degree,
OR
have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
