The Office of Facilities and Property Management is recruiting for a Customer Service Assistant to provide support to the Boulder Facility Maintenance Division by serving as the Customer Service Desk Operator and supports daily administrative duties including SharePoint
Administrator.
Duties
This position will:
Support facilities division's maintenance workload in support of our mission's science as a customer facing position (FMD Service Desk) tasked with collecting and communicating information to affect repair and maintaining facilities and grounds within NIST's portfolio of buildings.
Provide the communications and data management that enables other facilities operations and maintenance staff to do their jobs responding to Maintenance-Slips (M-Slips) and repairs.
Respond to customer requests with factually accurate information that is consistent with FMD-B and departmental guidance and policies, as well as other relevant program or technical documents.
Perform work such as preparing, receiving, reviewing, and updating documents in Facilities Management Software (FMS); utilizing ServiceNow software;
Maintain MS SharePoint files/data, office records; property accounting; locating and compiling data or information from files; compiling information for reports; keeping a calendar and informing others of deadlines and other important dates; and similar clerical support work within a facilities maintenance shop.
Perform technical work to support the administration or operation of the programs of FMD-B and OFPM Boulder.

- Must be able to self-certify typing 40 words per minute

Qualifications
ZA-III:
To qualified, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-4 (ZS-II at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience performing customer service assistant support work in facilities maintenance activities such as reporting, utilizing Facilities Management System (FMS) or similar software systems; experience with customers based on interaction with a company's support and service teams during and after a service is provided. Additionally, working collaboratively by assigning service tickets to the correct internal technicians/agents.

2 Years Above High School
ZA-IV:
To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-6 (ZS-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience performing unsupervised customer service assistant support work in facilities maintenance activities such as reporting, utilizing Facilities Management System (FMS) or similar software systems; experience with customers based on interaction with a company's support and service teams during and after a service is provided. Additionally, working collaboratively by assigning service tickets to the correct internal technicians/agents.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
