Duties

The Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) is responsible for providing senior level advice in all administrative specialty areas related to the missions and functions of the Air and Marine Operations (AMO) region, participating in and contributing to the management decisions for assigned program areas, applying a wide range of concepts, laws, policies, practices, and analytical diagnostic methods and techniques to address substantive technical issues or problems characterized by complex, controversial, and/or sensitive matters. This position starts at a salary of $82,830.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $107,680.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $107,680 (GS-12 Step 10). Typical work responsibilities include: Managing and overseeing the Office of Workers compensation program Performing work in areas of workforce management, performance management, payroll, personnel actions, budget items, purchase card, and travel. Managing and overseeing Military activation/leave program, Managing and overseeing the Citi Manager travel card program. Working knowledge of mission support related systems, tracking tools and databases (i.e. SAP, WEBTA, FACTS, ECOMP, BW) in order to perform the above administrative functional areas. Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Solving problems involving variables Evaluating administrative functions and preparing recommendations and narrative/data reports Advising on programs and procedures Acting as liaison with other organizations, including representing the agency's interests and establishing harmonious working relationships with counterparts. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 07/21/2023.
