Duties
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Senior Photogrammetric Imagery Scientist leads AORT's efforts in TCM tool validation and Technical Review Team (TRT) efforts. They assess new sensor and sensor model performance, ranging from NTM, commercial space, and airborne systems, as well as collaborate with NIQU to perform absolute accuracy assessments on new datasets as potential candidates for use in precision targeting. They create mensuration reports and mensuration-derived computer-aided design products. They conduct rigorous accuracy and predicted accuracy studies in support of TCM, to include 3D Data Absolute and Predicted Accuracy Verification Methods Study with Research, ATS, Source (3D PC, DSM). Photogrammetric Imagery Scientists also lead AORT's effort to increase TCM augmentation and automation while improving precision and accuracy. Additionally, they lead the Division's efforts in 3D Geopositioning Prototype, R&D, and testing. Furthermore, they support a variety of efforts in pursuit of AORT's mission requirements and respond to RFI about TCM practices and capabilities. They collaborate with analysts, provide advanced scientific input, develop collection strategies, and lead intelligence production efforts. Finally, they provide technical guidance across AORT and NGA components to enhance photogrammetric imaging capability, applicability, and collection, as well as provide guidance and mentoring to team members, and instruction to customers in other disciplines.Additional Application Requirement: You may be asked to complete one or more assessments in addition to the application you submit on this website as part of your application to NGA. These assessments may include but are not limited to: 1) Online questionnaires or assessments that require you to describe your job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, or other characteristics that are aligned with the mandatory and desirable qualifications of this job posting.
