About the Position: This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Leonard Wood. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Provide supply and services support to military, government civilian, and/or contractor personnel assigned, stationed or by satellite on the installation. Serve as the S4 Supply and Services for Garrison and as a voting member on Contract Source Selection Committee and Contract Award Fee Board. Supervise the work center staff performing supply management, CIF, CRP, CIIP, food services, laundry and dry cleaning, installation property book, Ammunition Supply Point (ASP), Supply Support Activity (SSA). Inspect supply services for conformance with policy, regulatory, and program requirements and recommends, initiates, and advises on or directs corrective actions necessary. Review and analyze the division short- and long-range strategic logistics planning objectives and goals.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance.
  • Incumbent may be required to travel up to 20% of time.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450,(5 CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
  • Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Join Ethics Regulation, dated 23 March 2006.
  • This position is designated as a "Key" position. This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impacting the organization to function effectively.
  • This position is designated as Mission Essential.
  • The position is needed to ensure facility operations in support of Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and/or performance of duties and completion of tasks that are mission essential functions of the organization.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) planning, directing and managing mission and functional supply operations for an Organization; 2) Manage supply operations to include Food Service, Laundry and Dry Cleaning, Ammunition Supply Point (ASP), Central Issue Facility (CIF), Central Receiving Point (CRP), Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP), Installation Property Book, Hazardous Materials Control Point, bulk and retail petroleum 3) overseeing contractor and Quality Assurance Evaluator performance and of supply operations; 4) supervising supply operations through subordinate supervisors, leads, contractors, etc) 5) planning, assigning, and evaluating work of subordinates and 6) serving in a senior position as administrator for Organizational logistics and supply management and Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial ManagementManaging Human ResourcesPlanning and EvaluatingSupply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
