Qualifications
MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1. Successful completion of an accredited Counterintelligence Special Agent Credentialing Course, the Defense Counterintelligence Agents Course (DCAC) or Service Equivalent Counterintelligence Certification Course.2. Demonstrated experience with the application and execution of two or more of the following CI functions: Inquiries & Investigations, Operations, Collection, Analysis, and Functional Services3. Demonstrated knowledge of IC and DoD policies, guidance, and directives for counterintelligence activities to include the application of Intelligence Oversight (IO) procedures for CI.EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Security, Area Studies, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in security, law enforcement, counterintelligence investigations, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in security, law enforcement, counterintelligence investigations, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. -AND- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Successful completion of an accredited Counterintelligence Special Agent Credentialing Course, the Defense Counterintelligence Agents Course (DCAC) or Service Equivalent Counterintelligence Certification Course as directed by management; Successful completion of the ITC TSCM Fundamentals Course may be required.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Knowledgeable of foreign intelligence threats and counterintelligence issues2. Demonstrated experience providing support to Research, Development, and Acquisition (RDA) programs through threat assessments, critical program information (CPI) determination, and threat awareness training3. Supervisory experience including the delegation of tasks, assigning of work schedules, management of team performance, and the evaluation of subordinate job performance4. Experience in working with the Intelligence Community, DoD, and/or Federal law enforcement agencies 5. Education in Counterintelligence, Strategic Intelligence, International Studies, Criminal Justice, Behavioral Psychology, or a related area 6. Demonstrated understanding of the missions of various NGA Directorates and Offices such as Analysis, International Operations and Partnerships, Source, Research, CIO-T, and GEOINT Assurance
