You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST in the G-6 Division of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND. This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will plan, coordinate, analyze and monitor Robotic Process Automation (RPA), you will review and modify IT plans and policies. You will Consult with customers to refine functional requirements and translates functional requirements into design. You will develop automation scripts, Robotic Process Solutions, or recommendations of alternatives for complex manual data entry task associated with business processes. You will Audit requirements for IT cloud-based solutions. You will review general business and functional requirements, and validates against technical or design specifications that support the need for IT solutions, and identifies and evaluates potential design approaches. You will conduct command wide maintenance and tracking Robotic Process Automation (RPA). You will Serve as functional expert on related program/project management issues.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, analyzing and monitoring Robotic Process Automation (RPA), evaluating IT plans and policies, and analyzing and designing application software that automates business processes. In addition, I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: planning, designing, and carrying out program responsibilities. Monitors and evaluates systems' compliance with IT security requirements. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: providing technical support on day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities, answering and performing technically demanding work, providing expert guidance and control. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: provide advice and guidance in implementing IT security procedures in the development and operation of network systems. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: develop and apply new techniques, technologies, and applications to previously unsolvable problems and recommend solutions to influence agency IT policies or programs as they affect utilities infrastructure. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
