About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the primary Medical Contract Officer Representative (COR), for the acquisition of a variety of specialized service contracts, continuous, as well as one-time, requirements for professional services, complex technical equipment maintenance and all other medical support services.
Duties
Plan, prepare, and coordinate contract service requirements and establishes medical and non-medical, personal and non-personal service contracts for the 436 MDG.
Provide input and participate with other divisions during initial planning and developing of work requirements. Evaluate resources required to accomplish the proposed projects in relation to committed resources.
Coordinate with appropriate functions such as Resource Management, Tricare, Civilian Personnel, and multiple contracting officers, including other military branches, and Department of Veterans.
Verify, enter, and adjust budgetary data in a variety of forms, schedules and reports.
Perform a wide variety of warehouse and stock accountability duties.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- The position requires completion of CLC 222, Contracting Officers Representative (COR) Online Training. The incumbent must complete the appropriate training with six months of assignment of these duties.
- Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
- The work requires the employee to wear the steel toe shoes.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 40 pounds is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning contract service requirements, verifying budgetary data, and performing stock accountability duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-8)
