Duties
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, Gulf of Mexico Region, Office of the Regional Director, Office of Organizational Development and Support (OODS) in Jefferson, LA.
At the full performance level (GS-9) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Maintains and tracks all regional personnel actions, coordinating as needed with BSEE HR Division. Works with program offices to monitor and ensure that personnel action requests are initiated in a timely manner.
2. Schedules and provides administrative support for regular meetings between OODS staff, Regional Director, appropriate HR staff, and appropriate Program Office staff. Arranges for schedules, conference lines, rooms, and teleconference equipment.
3. Serves as the Incentive Awards Coordinator for the GOMR. Develops local procedures to ensure the program operates in accordance with OPM, Department, and BSEE human resources regulations and policies.
4. Assist Budget Analysts in OODS on tracking obligations and formulating proposed annual operating budget for GOMR.
5. Serves as the procurement official for the OODS, using Government charge card to procure goods and services approved by Chief. In addition, serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on the GOMR government cell phone contract.
6. Serves as OODS's file custodian. Responsible for ODS's File Inventory and Disposition Plan. Provides guidance to staff on preparation of file plans and coordinates with staff on filing both electronic and physical files.
7. Serves as OODS timekeeper and coordinates review of or reviews travel authorizations and vouchers for several program offices to ensure timeliness and proper documentation.
BSEE has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
Salary Information
GS-07: (Step 01) $46,696- (Step 10) $60,703
First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must meet A, B, or C for the grade to which you are applying.
GS-07
A. Educational Requirements: One full year of graduate level education or a Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement*

B. Specialized Experience (Must be equivalent to the next lower grade level for which you are advertising)
To qualify for the GS-07, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience:
1. Performing daily management of clerical and administrative duties for a program or office.
2. Arranging meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements.
3. Identifying and analyzing issues and selecting and applying analytical techniques in resolving problems in workflow, work methods and procedures.
4. Preparing correspondence on a variety of subjects for internal or external stakeholders.

C. Combination of education and experience -- A qualifying combination of post-undergraduate education and specialized experience. A combination of specialized experience and education must total 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
