About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Production Management.
Duties
Maintain a variety of automated and manual property records, statement of charges, inventory adjustment reports and property disposal documents.
Review and audit a variety of property accountability transactions for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Create and maintain records and file systems from which the location and status can be found using bar coding and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tracking.
Maintain store inventory such as data nomenclature, unit of issue, and cataloging.
Prepare purchase documents for maintaining readiness and financial records to include document numbers, transaction codes and dollar values on materiel received. Verify all issues and sales.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Government Purchase Card.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). GS-05 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Establishing and maintaining of a variety of automated and manual records, reports, and documents for an office; AND 2) Assisting with physical inventories to help identify and correct discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
GS-06 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Establishing and maintaining of a variety of automated and manual records, reports, and documents for an office; 2) Assisting with physical inventories to help identify and correct discrepancies; AND 3) Utilizing regulations, policies and/or procedures to ensure supply support for various parts and supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR
Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management or Business Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Advancement to positions up to GS-05. Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-5 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
GS-06 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
