Duties

You will determine how many assignments can be done concurrently, which can be delayed, and the number and types of employees needed for each task with consideration of skills, personnel, and materials. You will be responsible for setting up performance standards, rating performance, approval or disapproval of various leave requests, disciplinary actions, initiating commendatory actions, and training and development of subordinates. You will establish and maintain effective working units to encourage employees to participate as team members in achieving management goals. You will independently direct the accomplishment of work and supervise personnel on job sites to assure compliance with schedules and completion of work within scope and allocated funds.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including emergency call-back, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Recognizing job-related problems and applying basic principles in human relations to resolve them; 2) Meeting, conversing, and corresponding with people of various levels and disciplines; 3) Organizing and coordinating multiple crews working different projects at various sites on a daily basis; and 4) Operating a personal computer to store, retrieve, and edit data with the use of applications such as Word, Maximo, timekeeping, and budget programs.
