This position will be assigned to Scott AFB, IL. This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave.

Duties

Assists Bowling Center Manage in the economic and efficient operation of bowling center facilities and activities. Assists in the implementation of higher-level directives, formulates procedures and programs to ensure high standards of food and beverage, recreational and promotional programs. Establishes, reviews, and evaluates food service, purchase of supplies, equipment and resale merchandise. Establishes financial goals commensurate with market analysis of area or region. Prepares budget, analyzes financial results and maintains solid financial condition of the center. Responsible for work force management, recruitment, and staff training. Manages real property resources and provides expert advice on renovations, improvements, minor and major construction. Promotes, organizes, and schedules open and league bowling and special events. Conducts or ensures bowling classes. Ensures appropriate bowling equipment and supplies are on hand. Oversees the operation of a pro shop and/or a snack bar. Requirements

• Must sign the Air Force Mobility agreement with the expectation of an approximate 3 to 5 year change of assignment is required.
• Must complete a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Based on the mobility agreement and meeting the needs of the Air Force. Must be willing to provide information that you are a U.S. citizen.
• Incumbent will be required to work alternate shifts.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience that shows progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical, or other work which has provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices, or progressively responsible experience in one or more of the functions managed by a bowling center manager or assistant bowling center manager. Specialized Experience: Applicant must have specialized experience gained in the operation or management of a civilian or military bowling center operation. The experience must include responsibility or supervision over at least one of the various phases of a bowling center operation. Specialized experience must be at a level that shows the applicant can perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. OR Substitution for general and specialized experience: A Professional Bowling degree from an accredited College or University may be substituted for all general and specialized experience.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
